MEX AM NW Festival 2017

About the project

Mex AM NW Festival is an event curated and organized by the Consulate of Mexico in Seattle. They celebrated its 1st edition in 2017, with the mission of spreading innovative, cheerful and socially responsible ideas from Mexico.

The event consisted of specialized business presentations, project panels from local expats, movie projections, art expositions, food tastings and networking meetings.

Mex AM NW originated from the traditional Mex AM Festival celebrated in San Francisco and Chicago. Since Mexican presence in Seattle has a different presence and dynamics, organizers decided to focus on attracting Seattleites and expats to this colorful event.

1st Logo Proposal Sketches

I first proposed some logo sketches that included illustration elements or a possible logo mark.

Official Logo Refresh

In the end, organizers went with an adaptation from the official MEXAM logo that had been used in other cities.

Full-sized Calendar

This is the official calendar for the event. It was designed for print and digital distribution.

Event Brochure

The festival brochure comprised a hefty amount of info: a letter from the consul, speaker biographies, exhibits, business notes and the proclamation of Mexico Week on the state of Washington.

We wanted it to be a handy guide for attendants, so we chose a clean design that would help them find and use the information. The half-letter format easy to hold and carry.
